In fact you’ve probably seen whole families… mum, dad and the kids all gazing into screens rather than enjoying time talking and laughing together. When I travel by public transport I’m always amazed by the deathly hush that pervades the scene (broken only occasionally by a loud mouth on a phone) because people are busy in their own digital world and no longer talk together.
