Team meetings

Great team meetings are one of the most important contributors to a stable, contented and productive team. Meetings must be held regularly, partly in team members’ time and partly in the boss’s time (an hour meeting starting a half-hour before normal office hours, for example). They need be of no more than 45 minutes to an hour duration and should always start on time. The objective is to motivate, educate, inform and recognise and to do it in such a way that team members want to be there.

Three elements should always be part of that team meeting. A report from the boss on how the business is going, a “learning” segment and a motivational element so that people have their batteries recharged.
