As is my wont, I gave him a few ideas that I quite modestly believed were great, if not fantastic! The only trouble was that he saw problems in every suggestion I made.

I reckon it was all about finding great solutions and then looking for the challenges to solve along the way.

He was finding the challenges to solve and hoping to find they would lead to solutions that would work.

It’s amazing how many great solutions you can find if you start off with a positive attitude. In “The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People” Steven Covey wrote “start with the end in mind” to make things much easier to achieve.

When you start with a negative mindset you’ll get negative results; start with a positive frame of mind and you’ll get positive results.

Come and join me… let’s all be Cockeyed Optimists.
