Yes it’s a marvellous word we love to use here in Melbourne when autumn brings us lovely warm sunshine and blue sky cloudless days. Like it was a couple of days ago when I was out bike riding with my mates. And the leaves of our beautiful plane trees (which the authorities want to get rid of) that line the kerbs of so many of our inner suburbs are beautiful and green but within a few weeks their leaves will be turning red, then golden brown and being shed.
Ah yes, Melbourne is magic on a beautiful autumnal day. If there were roses I’d take time to smell them too.
