Making local sponsorships work for you
Letter One:
Good Morning,
We like to be sure that your money keeps coming back to you!
You may not be aware that we have recently become sponsor of Newtown Garden Club and we are therefore just writing to let you know.
Obviously we are delighted to be associated with your club and, because many of our clients are like you, its good to know that some of the money they spend with us comes back to your club and you.
Now we don’t know whether you currently have a pest controller and, in fact, whether you have ever needed the services of a company in our field. Should however you ever have the need for a firm like ours or even value a second opinion or an alternative source of supply or advice we’d be delighted to assist you. If you decide to use our services, and we assure you that you will if you get to know us, you’ll have the satisfaction of knowing that some of your money keeps coming back to you through our sponsorship or your club
We look forward to meeting you soon.
Yours sincerely
P.S. As a special introduction we are enclosing a gift certificate for you to use if you decide to avail yourself of any of the services shown on the checklist enclosed. Please feel free to use the gift certificate at anytime.
Letter Two:
Good Morning,
Here is a gift for you!
Over the last season we have had the pleasure of sponsoring Bursdale Bowling Club and have participated in the Sponsor’s Bowling Nights each week. We’ve had the pleasure of meeting a number of members, enjoying your hospitality and a game of bowls.
So, because we’d like to thank you for looking after us so well, we have a gift which may be of considerable value to you.
You see as a small, caring and local accountancy practice many of our clients are just like you may be… about to retire or retired. We have considerable experience in maximising retirement income either by legitimately reducing tax, rearranging assets or reorganizing investment, superannuation and pension income. Often the good news is that these adjustments also result in a Centrelink pension or an increase in benefits.
What we often find is that lack of knowledge, poor advice or outdated arrangements are costing people money, sometimes substantial amounts. And that’s money the Government says they are entitled to but are not getting.
For example, just the other day Bruce, who was about to retire, came into see us.
By simply rearranging his assets and the way his superannuation was to be paid we were able to slash his tax substantially and boost his pension. He was thrilled! As he said, “If I hadn’t talked to you I would have been telling the government I didn’t want the money that I’d paid tax for all my life.”
Now we don’t know what your circumstances are or whether or not you’re getting great advice but here is our gift to you…
We will spend an hour with you… absolutely free… to review your current investment, pension and asset arrangements to ensure that you are getting your maximum possible entitlements. If we recommend that you need to make changes you can ask us to do them or get someone else … it’s your choice! This offer comes with no strings attached. It’s just to say thank you to members of Bursdale Bowling Club.
If you’d like to take us up on this offer or need any advice, please call <Name> at our office for your free, no strings attached appointment… just mention this letter.
Yours sincerely,
Graeme Smith
