When you check in to lots of hotels, there may be a bellboy or a doorman to help with your luggage and more often than not, there’s neither.

That’s why I was terribly impressed when we were welcomed personally by the manager of a hotel we stayed at. He held the door open for us, shook us by the hand, and told us there was a complimentary drink to welcome us to the hotel.

Unfortunately, we were on a once in a lifetime trip and probably will never go back.  But boy, were we impressed!

It’s little touches like that, which can make people feel special when they do business with you.

How do you impress people when they visit you physically or digitally?
