Perhaps it’s because I’ve been a professional speaker for the last 30 years or so, or maybe it’s because I was born on Churchill’s, that great speechmaker’s, birthday. But whatever it is I just love listening to someone who can really do a great job of putting words together that inform, inspire and entertain.

You’ll see what I mean in this wonderful scene, ‘Galileo V’, from that great series of a few years ago… The West Wing.

Afraid of speaking in public?

Get Winston’s audio program that’s helped hundreds of people become cool, confident and convincing!

The way he puts it all together gobsmacks me and then I remember he’s an actor doing a great job of reading the lines. Behind him there’s a writer who wrote those words brilliantly! They are the person who deserves the credit (and I wonder how long she/he took to write it?).

Do you care about your words enough to always carefully craft them? I certainly try.
