This Sunday is one of the biggest sporting days of the year in the States. It’s Super Bowl Football and is the annual championship game of the National Football League, the highest level of professional football in the United States. Their stadiums don’t even hold as many as the MCG but no matter, because almost every American will be glued to their TV set to watch the match and the commercials that are part of it which cost around $5M for a 30 second spot. Yep, that’s 5 million greenbacks!

So, what if you’re a company who can’t afford that sort of money? Well, there are smarter and cheaper ways of doing it (as there are for you if you can’t afford TV to promote your business).

This article gives you the lowdown and maybe some food for thought. (I particularly love the Adobe TVC you’ll see there.)

BTW next week I’ll let you know which of the 100 or so commercials that went to air during the Bowl were rated as winners.
