Reward

Many people think that money is the top motivator for most Australasian team members. Sure, pay is important, but it’s not the most important factor. Your team members just want to feel their efforts are valued and that they are earning rewards in line with the market.

If team members believe they’re underpaid by comparison with other people in the market they’ll waste lots of their time fretting about it.  Remove the financial jealousy and you’ll find they can give more time to productive work.

It’s my firm belief you should over pay your people and establish an environment in which they can over perform.
