Are you a person who makes those New Year resolutions and, if so, how good are you at keeping them? Have they lasted till now?

My mates and I are committed to our daily exercise activities and do them rain, hail or shine all year round. It’s amazing how, at the start of every new year, we see enthusiasts who have obviously made exercise resolutions out there doing it… for a couple of weeks! By the end of January very few of them are still at it! Their resolve wasn’t as strong as their resolutions.

So, I don’t make New Year resolutions… I set goals when I need to set them, which can be any time, but only goals to which I can commit. Then I use the SMART formula to map out a plan to achieve them… specific, measurable, attainable, relevant and time bound.

So if you made some resolutions and haven’t stuck to them or if you’d like to achieve some goals, why not sit down and plan how to achieve them now! Remember the 6P’s of success… proper planning prevents pretty poor performance!
