Listen! Listen! Listen!

Each of us have only one mouth to speak with but two ears and two eyes to take in whatever another person is telling us… both spoken and unspoken. You’ll really be on another person’s wavelength when you operate on the same ratio— speak for 20 percent of the time and watch and listen for around 80 percent of the time.

  1. Hey Winno, it has been a while. Thanks for the continuing words of wisdom! I was thinking about what I could do differently in my business this season as I face soaring fruit prices, especially bananas and pineapples. Take them off the menu perhaps? Put prices up? Maybe for once I have to consider tinned pineapple in the fruit salad – everyone loves tinned pineapple in a fresh fruit salad, surely! Maybe lower the price with the tinned version, then people pay less, get just as much enjoyment and we stay in business. Any ideas? I love the reminder about FANTASTIC – I have always subscribed to that. Then just recently with the birth of my second son (in Edinburgh in August – Roary Leopold, the roaring lion, king of the jungle) I have suffered severe sleep deprivation and havent been feeling so fantastic – but the more I thought about how tired I feel, guess what – the more tired and miserable I felt – so thanks. I feel fantastic! Lets see what happens. Happy new year – it will be the best yet for sure.

  2. G’day Trish and happy new year to you. How good it is to hear from you. How’s the juice business doing and where are you currently located? Hope that you’re super well and happy!

  3. G’day Trish and sorry about the delay in part2 of my reply.I reckon where you are using replacement fruit, even canned, you should make a feature of it… proudly announce that in view of the soaring fruit prices we are now using XYZ’s beautiful, full flavour, grown wherever canned fruit. Still the same great smoothies with a new zing you’ll love, etc, etc.

Sorry that Roary is giving you a tough time but he’ll soon settle down and become as cute as pie (is that the right metaphor?).
